Our Mission

One of my favourite childhood memories is sitting with my sibling on Saturday nights, listening as our mother told us stories from her youth, tales passed down from her mother and grandmother.

Those moments sparked my imagination and ignited my lifelong love for storytelling. It later grew into an obsession with books and, eventually, with writing.

Fast forward to today, that same passion continues to inspire me. It’s the reason I started Purple Patch Stories—to create stories that would intrigue, inspire, and help every child see themselves, their culture, and their values reflected in the pages they read.

At Purple Patch Stories, our mission is to create fun, imaginative, and engaging children’s books that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love for reading. We celebrate diversity, encourage learning, and spark young imaginations through storytelling that reflects the beautiful, diverse world around them.

What We Do

Building on that mission, Purple Patch Stories, founded in 2025, is an independent self-publishing company dedicated to writing, producing, and publishing high-quality children’s books.

We specialize in:

Many of our stories are inspired by special requests, allowing us to bring personal ideas and heartfelt inspirations to life. We collaborate with talented illustrators from around the world to ensure every book is beautifully crafted and engaging.
